Superintendent

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all on site construction processes and ensuring the timely and profitable completion of assigned projects in accordance with the contract documents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all on site construction processes.
  • Complete projects on schedule and within budgetary allowances.
  • Produce highest quality project built in accordance with plans and specifications and MGM standards.
  • Ensure all safety rules and regulations are enforced.
  • Maintain positive relationship with Owner and Design Team.
  • Perform site inspection and layout.
  • Supervise subcontractor performance and quality of work.
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractors.
  • Confirm utility requirements and coordinate installations.
  • Act as liaison with project inspectors.
  • Track and verify material orders, tools, and equipment.
  • Review and approve job related invoices.
  • Maintain daily logs, records, progress photos, and reports.
  • Maintain safe and clean work site.
  • Maintain MSDS files and working set of as-built drawings on site at all times.
  • Hold weekly subcontractor meetings.
  • Notify MGM supervisor of all design issues and RFIs arising on site.
  • Review and assist in coordination of shop drawings, samples, and product specification sheets.
  • Review and assist in coordination of revision drawings.
  • Close out permits and inspections with building departments and obtain CO.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • General knowledge of AIA Contract documents.
  • Knowledge of current building construction systems, means and methods
  • Familiarity with current local building codes
  • OSHA certification

EDUCATION

  • AA degree in construction related field or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years field experience with General Contractor

  • Word, Excel, Outlook
